A Mortgagee participating in HUD's Lender Insurance (LI) program must use the FHA Connection Lender Insurance Contact screen to view, add, or update Mortgagee primary and secondary contact information. LI contact information is maintained by the Mortgagee’s FHA Connection application coordinator(s) using the FHA Connection–Lender Functions–LI Insurance Contact screen.
Lender Insurance Contact information is used by HUD Homeownership Center (HOC) personnel to contact a Mortgagee participating in the LI program if there are any problems or irregularities in the processing of its cases (Mortgages) for FHA insurance. Mortgagee primary and secondary contacts are sent an email notification when a case binder or electronic case binder addition is requested by HUD.
