How do I file a complaint against, or report possible fraud committed by an FHA-approved Mortgagee?

If you have a complaint against an FHA-approved Mortgagee related to the origination of an FHA-insured Mortgage, or if you believe that an FHA-approved Mortgagee engaged in fraud during the processing of your FHA Mortgage, please submit an email to answers@hud.gov. The email should provide details of your complaint and include any attachments and additional information that may assist the appropriate parties in researching the complaint. This may include:
  • Your name and contact information;
  • The FHA Case Number;
  • Property Address;
  • Mortgagee Information; and
  • Documents relevant to the complaint.
