How do I file a complaint or report possible fraud against a HUD/FHA approved lender?

If you have a complaint against an FHA approved lender related to the origination of an FHA insured mortgage, or if you believe that an FHA lender engaged in fraud during the processing of your FHA mortgage, please submit an email to answers@hud.gov and submit the details of your complaint as an attachment to ensure it is received in its entirety.

Please also include any attachments and additional information that may assist the appropriate parties in researching the complaint. This may include:

• Your name and contact information

• The FHA Case Number

• Property Address

• Lender Information

• Documents relevant to the complaint
