What is the Housing Choice Voucher homeownership program?

If you are purchasing your first home but need help meeting the monthly mortgage and other homeownership expenses, the Homeownership Voucher Program may be able to assist you. If you are currently a participant in the Housing Choice Voucher program and receive rental assistance you may be able to use your voucher to buy a home and receive monthly assistance in meeting homeownership expenses. This program is administered by local Public Housing Agencies (PHA). Not all local PHAs participate in the program so for more information you should contact your local PHA.
