Mortgagees (Lenders) must not consider income from an Ineligible Non-Borrowing Spouse in the financial assessment of the borrower. Income from an Ineligible Non-Borrowing Spouse must not be added to the borrower’s residual income; must not be used as a compensating factor; and must not be used to reduce household size.
