Should I re-apply if my name does not show up on the appraiser list on HUD.gov?

The system will not accept a second application. The roster on the https://entp.hud.gov/idapp/html/apprlook.cfm site updates less frequently than the FHA Connection (FHAC).

Lenders use FHAC when they select an appraiser.

You must be certain that all of your information is correct on the appraiser roster through FHAC (See "Update Your Information”) and on the National Registry. If your information needs to be corrected on the National Registry, you must ask your state appraisal regulatory agency to resend your information to the registry.

You will not have an active record on the roster, and you will not be permitted to perform FHA appraisals if you have been sanctioned in any state, even though you may be certified in more than one state but sanctioned in only one.
