After the repair escrow account is closed, the Mortgagee must complete the Escrow Closeout Certification screen in FHA Connection (FHAC) within 30 Days after the escrow account is closed. FHAC can be accessed at: https://entp.hud.gov/clas/index.cfm
Any authorized employee of the originator, sponsor, holder or servicer may perform the Escrow Close-out function using the FHA Connection Escrow Closeout screen.
By closing out the case via FHA Connection, lenders no longer need to submit the close-out documents to the applicable Homeownership Center (HOC). However, lenders are required to retain the close-out documentation file.
