Did FHA eliminate the Inspector Roster?

Effective August 2, 2018, the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) discontinued its process for approving compliance inspectors and eliminated the FHA Inspector Roster (Roster).

FHA recognizes the sufficiency and quality of inspections carried out by Residential Combination Inspectors (RCI) or Combination Inspectors (CI) certified by the International Code Council (ICC) and other qualified individuals (in the absence of an RCI or CI Inspector).  As a result, FHA acknowledges there is no longer a need to maintain and administer its own standardization process for inspectors.
