How does a Principal Broker correct the information displayed on the Find a Broker/Agent page on the HUD HomeStore website?

The HUDHomestore.com website contains information from the current Broker’s active application that was submitted for the Name and Address Identification Number (NAID). That information can be found using the Broker Search at: https://www.hudhomestore.com/Listing/BrokerSearch.aspx

  1. If the NAID information needs to be updated, go to the HUD HomeStore website at:
http://www.hudhomestore.com;
  1. Click the NAID Application Portal tab on the gray menu bar at the top of the page.
  2. Click the “Here” link inside the message bubble to access the NAID Application Portal
If you have previously registered on the NAID Application Portal:
  1. Click on LOGIN NOW and enter your Username and Password.
  2. Click the Modify Existing Payee button, and modify the information on the NAID Application, as necessary. You may be required to upload documentation to validate the information you changed.
If you have a NAID but have not registered on the NAID Application Portal:
  1. Click on: Recertify NAID, update Broker Real Estate License or modify address;
  2. Select “I have not previously registered on the NAID Application Portal”;
  3. Enter your NAID, and click Submit;
  4. At the “Register for Access to NAID Application Portal” screen, fill in the required information and click REGISTER to initiate the prescreening process;
  5. You will receive a system notification if the registration is successful or if it needs to be verified by HUD;
  6. When the prescreen is approved, you will receive an email advising how to create a username and password to log into the NAID Application Portal;
  7. After creating your username and password you will be automatically logged into the NAID Application Portal;
  8. Click the Modify Existing Payee button, and modify the information on the NAID Application, as necessary. You may be required to upload documentation to validate the information you changed.

Note: The Employer Identification Number (EIN)/Social Security Number (SSN) associated with the Principal Broker’s NAID cannot be modified. A new NAID must be requested to identify a new EIN/SSN by submitting the necessary documentation.

Use of the Google Chrome browser is strongly recommended when accessing the NAID Application Portal.

A copy of the NAID-Recertification User Guide for Participating Brokers containing detailed instruction on using the NAID Application Portal is provided at: https://www.hudhomestore.com/ListingSiteFAQ.htm for your reference.

The applicant may send a request for additional information by email to: answers@hud.gov or call the FHA Resource Center at: 1-800-225-5342.

Real Estate Broker NAID policy is in Handbook 4000.1 I.B.5.b. and I.B.5.c. at: https://www.hud.gov/program_offices/administration/hudclips/handbooks/hsgh
